Guitarmill Olympic White Stratocaster

An Olympic White Stratocaster with Mint Pickguard has been a long time dream to own.
I been rocking the Lake Placid Blue Strat for some months now, and a guitar playing guy who lives in the area fell in love with that. He asked me if i wanted to sell it, and i said i had no plans.
Around Christmas 2025 he texts me if i was ready to sell it. I wholehartedly said yes, because with the funds from it, i would put together this craving for an olympic white Strat. i already have my Shadowsky LPB anyway.
After searching high and low online for the contender, i ordered a body straight from Guitarmill. They had a few in stock but this ash body with swimingpool route became the winner. Somehow, i think swimmingpool routes are underated, but it feels like the pickups are more open in them, plus you get a little weight reduction to them as well.

The neck i ordered two months prior. Always wanting a custom made neck i took a dive with Musikraft and ordered a Rosewood neck with a little more thicker 10/56 “V” profile and a compound 10”-12” radius.
While waiting for the body, prepped the neck with a tint of amber nitro spray and with a few layers of top coat, except for the backside of the neck. I only tinted that part and gonna play it down and wear it out.
So far, great neck.
Growing a little tired of the vintage Spaghetti logo, i have grown more fond of the transition logos from mid `60s. So that went on instead. The aim was a mid-60s spec.

The whole pickguard from the Lake Placid was moved over. The mint green celluloid guard  was the primary trigger to get the Olympic White project started in the first place.. The Sarah Holly pickups came along while another set with its original guard went on the LPB.

So far, the guitar just look sexy. Olympic White is the only color that i think dress a little relic well. A clean OW looks a bit boring to me. Once the dings and scratches is earned by it, it starts to build a character in my eyes.

Still have to play it, as it is fresh off the table as i write this.
