INFO:

Around 10.000 Guitars produced

The very first anniversary /Vintage Reissue Fender Stratocaster had a rather rocky start.

The first 500 guitars was finished in a waterbased poly coat in pearl silver color. This was an attempt of Fender to go more enviromental friendly. But those 500 had the finish quickly drying up and checking badly or simply just flake off.

Fended then launched a warranty return service to all customers with these guitars where they could ship them back for a refinish in standard polyester. Many did return but also several did not chose to return it. This is very evident to this day on the finish.

Several of the early  guitars in the 000001-0000010 serials were given to accalimed guitarists

The Porsche Silver would fade into a more gold color over time.
