INFO:

First Vintage reissue released by Fender. One of the last projects Freddie Tavarez contributed on before he retired.

Early models often comes with grey or red bobbins as well as the more common black fibre bobbins.

Notable Players: David Gilmour used his Candy Apple Red 57 Reissue on both Division Bell and Delicate Sound Of Thunder tours equipped with EMG pickups.

Several of the early 1982 guitars tremolo units are supplied with a tremolo plate from Gotoh (These are stamped with a “101” underneath) As this guitar was the first model to see the original tremolo again since 1971, Fender had Gotoh to supply them a batch as they most likely  did not have a sufficient stock to meet  demands.. The  tremolo plates are one part not manufactured by Fender as they need chrome plating.
