INFO:

Prototypes built in 1987 were different. Being based on the Fender Elite model of electronics (Mid Boost). A small handfull of 21-fret guitar was built with 21db mid-boost and a on/off toggle switch for it. The final product was more based on the ’57 Reissue guitars.

The Switch was removed opting for Stereo Jack activation, and the boost was increased to 25db before the official build started

In 1994, Eric gave the go-ahead to have his signature made with Rosewood fretboard on Fender’s request, but had a change of heart not long after and told Fender to stop the models. around 94 Guitars were made with rosewood before the order came in.

Tremolo is blocked off by factory with a wood block, but can be easily reversed to active tremolo by removing it.

- Black models has the decal “Blackie” under the signature
