The Highway One series was aimed to develop an USA made Fender to the public at an affordable price.
The result was using US made neck and Body lacquered in Mexico with no clear coat. And using PING hardware instead of US Parts and Mexico wound Pickups. To cut corners further, it was only supplied with a gig-bag.
