These are a flatter response set of pickups. Must not be compared to Texas Specials as they are vastly different but aiming for the same performance with the overwound Bridge.
Glassy, bright and sparkly vintage tones on the cheap. With a high output bridge for rowdy tones. Probably the best affordable upgrade of pickups Fender has in production. Featured on Jimmy Vaughan Sign Strat.

These are the hottest Fender pickups on the market. But not that hot since they use Alnico 3. In fact they are only slightly hotter than Texas Specials. Not so quacky but the neck is the most Stratty.
They are also reasonable like Tex Mex and Yosemites. with plastic bobbins and PVC wire.

Eric Johnson is probably the biggest tone connoisseur alive. To him, Every part in the guitar changes tonal properties, so not an easy job for Fender to make these for his ears i believe. Result is nice funky bluesy tones on a brighter side with plenty chime and bell.
The middle pickup is designed to set low to Eric´s specification. so keep that in mind. These can sound slightly weak and thin for bedroom players. But put them trough a larger rig on higher volume to get them to shine proper.
Since it has a mixed magnet set and are designed with balance in mind, expect to spend time to dial them in on pickup heights

These are a budget version of Pure Vintage 65 so to speak and they replaced the Classic 60´s Pickups.
i would def. go for these compared to the Vintera 50´s. Much more balanced and great dynamics and they sound much more 50´s than the Vintera 50´s.. Better on overdrive too. Still available from Fender despite the demise of the 50s set.

Vintage tone on the cheap. These produce classic 50´s tone. Bell and crystals on clean. Some folks find the dull or weak though.
Drive them for the SRV sounds if you like.
These are great bang for the buck if you are on a budget.

These came in American Professional guitars and were designed by Tim Shaw. They are far from the most popular pickups.
Many find them dull. However, they seem to get better on lower setting. They are darker in sound, and can be OK on clean.. but for cleans, lower them. Dynamic on these are balanced flat. They shine best on Overdrive.
Featuring a blend of most Alnico magnets. Neck has Alnico 3 & 2, Middle has Alnico 5 & 2, Bridge: runs only Alnico 5
These are not produced anymore but easily obtain still. V-Mod II was introduced in 2020 but not offered for sale yet. And hardly will be as they are not so popular really.

I found one YT video. The sound more in the 60´s land. As they are slightly overwound.
